As an Administrative Assistant supporting our Business Advisory Group, you will report into the Manager, Administration. In your role, you will be responsible for providing critical administrative support, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of work, and enabling our colleagues to focus on core responsibilities. At McGovern Hurley we operate in a hybrid work environment; due to the nature of the role, our Administrative team is in office Monday through Friday. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical activities
  • Support professional staff in daily activities
  • Modify and prepare general templates, letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel workbooks and other correspondence materials
  • Assist in various internal data reporting needs of the firm
  • Coordinate client deliverables
  • Assist in various ad-hoc projects and processes
  • Occasionally received and screen all incoming calls
  • Assist in client documentation scanning
  • Electronic filing of tax returns
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Skills and Experience:
  • 1 – 3 years of administrative experience in a professional working environment; experience in other professional services Firms preferred 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in TaxPrep and iFirm are considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges as needed
  • Ability to work occasional overtime may be required as workload dictates.
